The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited has owned a World-Class COMPLEX refinery with maximum crude processing capacity of 120,000 barrels per day.
The refinery has equipped with several latest technologies, such as Hydro Cracking technology from the United States’ Universal Oil Product Company Limited (UOP), Hydrogen producing technology from Foster Wheeler and Sulfur recovery technology from Technip KTI S.P.A. Also, there is the Mercury Removal Unit that enables to maximize domestic feedstocks, which yield higher economic value. Moreover, the refinery has achieved higher cost-efficiency operation by adopting natural gas as refinery process fuel in replacement of Fuel oil and purchasing power and steam from a Co-Generation Powerplant instead of existing boiler operation.
Bangchak Crude Refinering Process
Bangchak Refinery is capable of producing wide range of finished oil products, for example, Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Gasoline, Gasohol E10, E20, E85, Jet Fuel, PowerD (High Speed Diesel) and Fuel oil. The processes are designed to deliver environmentally friendly products such as the Isomerization Unit, reducing aromatic content in gasoline and the Gasoil Hydrodesulfurization unit, removing sulfur content from diesel oil, which enables Bangchak PowerD B5 to meet the EURO IV standard.
