Bangchak Receives Runner-Up UN Women 2022 Thailand WEPs Awards

Transparency and Reporting Category, Promoting Gender Equality and Women’s Emporment in the Workplace

Narupan Suthamkasem, Acting Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Sustainability, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, represented Bangchak to receive the UN Women 2022 Thailand Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards as the 1st Runner Up in The Transparency and Reporting Category from Jintana Chanbamrung, Director General, the Department of Woman’s Affairs and Family Development, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security at the UN Women 2022 Thailand WEPs Awards ceremony.

The awards honor organizations committed to sustainable business development through gender equality, reporting according to the GRI framework, and aligned with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls to provide equitable access to information for all stakeholders

This is the 2nd WEPs Awards with 6 categories, organized by UN Women and the EU to promote Women’s Empowerment Principles, role in business, and gender equality leading to sustainable business and economic growth. Bangchak recognizes the importance of diversity and gender equality and is a signatory to promote and participate in the WEPs Network since 2021.
