Bangchak Supports the Second “Olympic Day 2023 Walk-Run” in Mukdahan Province

Reiterating the “Sports for Climate Action” Concept by Offsetting the Event Carbon Footprint, Collecting Water Bottles to Produce Caps According to Circular Economy Principles

Pichai Chunhavajira, Vice President of the Olympic Committee of Thailand Under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, and President of the Sports and Environment Subcommittee, chaired the opening ceremony of the 2nd “Olympic Day 2023 Walk-Run” at Mukdawittayanukul School on 24 June 2023, Mukdahan Province. The Walk-Run featured a special route that crossed the Mekong River on the Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge and finished on the Thai side, which attracted the interest of tens of thousands of runners from Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam in the activity.

Bangchak supports the “Olympic Day 2023 Walk-Run” throughout 2023 along the concept of “Sports for Climate Action”, ensuring that activities are environmentally friendly. Vorayan Bunnarat, Governor of Mukdahan Province visited the Bangchak exhibition display on climate action and awareness and the Circular Economy, and distributed Cups for Saplings from the “Pun Suk Urban Greenery” campaign to increase green spaces and carbon dioxide absorption.

Moreover, Bangchak also engaged in communication regarding the Circular Economy and collect plastic water bottles from the event to recycle them into caps, to be given to the first 100 runners (both male and female) to pass the finish line. Additionally, during the event, Inthanin beverages were provided and FURIO lubricants were offered at special promotional prices. Bangchak Green Miles membership card were also distributed to people who registered during the event.
