The meeting aimed to provide updates on the progress as of the third quarter of 2025, following the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation among the five organizations at COP29 in 2024.

The meeting was honored by the presence of key Thai agencies involved in the developments of carbon market, who participated as observers and provided valuable insights and feedback to enable ACCF to support government bodies and relevant organizations by linking policy design with concrete implementation, thereby addressing regional climate challenges and accelerating decarbonization efforts. Participating agencies included the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), led by Executive Director, Mr. Nakorn Tangavirapat; the Department of Climate Change; the Stock Exchange of Thailand; and the Climate Change Institute of the Federation of Thai Industries. The meeting also welcomed observers from the Macao International Carbon Emission Exchange, as well as online participants, with total attendance of over 50 individuals.

Earlier that morning, Mrs. Gloyta and Dr. Vichshuwan joined the Roundtable on the ASEAN Common Carbon Framework, hosted by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) its Business Partnership for Market Implementation (B-PMI) program. The roundtable welcomed public and private sector representatives across the globe to exchange best practices, across the globe to share best practices, track progress, and exchange perspectives on enhancing the ASEAN carbon market framework together.

Both meetings were integral components of ACS 2025, organized by IETA, an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high-integrity, market-based solutions for greenhouse gas emissions to accelerate progress toward a net-zero future.
