Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery, the Only Refinery in Thailand, Receives the EIA Monitoring Awards 2025

Responsible Business, Sustainable Care for Society and the Environment

On 17 September 2025, Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, received the EIA Monitoring Awards 2025 (Outstanding Level) for establishments complying with environmental impact assessment (EIA) measures in the oil refining industry project category. Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery was the only refinery in the country to receive the award this year in the petroleum and petrochemical industry group. The award was presented by Mrs. Chayanan Phakdeejit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, at the EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025, held under the theme “EIA Next Step: The Next Sustainable Growth,” organized by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

This achievement reflects Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery’s commitment to operating in line with sound environmental standards and corporate social and environmental responsibility. The refinery not only strictly complies with preventive and monitoring measures under the EIA, but also prioritizes occupational health and safety, as well as community development and local economic promotion, to foster sustainable growth.

The EIA Monitoring Awards have been organized for 30 consecutive years to recognize establishments that strictly comply with measures stipulated in EIA reports and to serve as role models within the industry.
