Bangchak Joins Sustainability Expo 2025 Bridging Technology and Collaboration to Build a Balanced and Sustainable Future

Recently, Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and Chair of the Carbon Markets Club, participated as a speaker in two sessions at the Sustainability Expo 2025, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. She joined the panel discussion at “A Call for Adaptation: The Sustainability in Trade & Industry,” organized by Krungthep Turakij, and delivered a keynote address at the “JFCCT Sustainability Event”, hosted by the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT).
At “A Call for Adaptation”, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who presided over the opening ceremony, visited the exhibition of the Carbon Markets Club, co-founded by Bangchak and its partners in 2021 to promote carbon credit trading and raise awareness on climate action. Mrs. Gloyta later joined a panel discussion with Dr. Thanyaporn Krichtitayawuth, Executive Director of the Global Compact Network Thailand (UNGCNT), and Ms. Tongjai Thanachanan, Executive Vice President, Chief Sustainability and Strategy Officer, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited.
She remarked that sustainability is not only about the environment but about achieving balance across society, economy, and humanity, emphasizing that restoring global balance requires collective action from all sectors. Bangchak, she said, has moved beyond advocacy into tangible action through projects such as the establishment of the Carbon Markets Club, the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from used cooking oil, and collaboration with partners to develop Koh Mak in Trat Province as a global model for low-carbon island development. At the JFCCT Sustainability Event, Mrs. Gloyta was invited as one of the Keynote Speakers under the topic “International Tech for Local Transformation - Sustainability Innovation in Thailand.” She shared that energy must not only serve growth but also give back to society and the planet, and that international technology and know-how can accelerate sustainability transformation at both national and community levels.
She shared Bangchak’s journey, which began with a small refinery in 1984 and has evolved into one of Thailand’s leading green energy companies, operating in over ten countries worldwide. The Group’s transformation has been driven by international collaboration and innovation, creating tangible progress toward a low-carbon society — from pioneering biofuel development in Thailand to investing in OKEA in Norway, and advancing next-generation low-carbon fuels such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Renewable/Green Diesel, and B24 Marine Biofuel. These initiatives exemplify the exchange of global knowledge for sustainability.
Mrs. Gloyta also highlighted Bangchak’s brand idea, “Greenovate to Regenerate,” which reflects the belief that progress must balance profitability with social and environmental value. The company strives to create equilibrium between economic growth, social well-being, and environmental preservation, with a clear commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
She concluded, “The true value of technology lies in its ability to create positive change in people’s lives. Bangchak’s growth is not measured solely by profits, but by what we give back — to the world, to communities, and to future generations.”
In addition, at Sustainability Expo 2025, Bangchak also participated as a partner organization contributing to national climate action in the 4th Thailand Climate Action Conference (TCAC 2025): “Inspiring Climate Solutions for All.” The event recognized organizations driving tangible climate initiatives across Thailand. Ms. Nintira Abhisinha, Senior Public Affairs Specialist, represented the company in receiving the Partnership Plaque from Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, reaffirming Bangchak’s commitment to advancing Thailand toward a low-carbon and sustainable future.
