Bangchak Group Supports CAAT and Eight Thai Airlines in Advancing SAF Usage Toward Net Zero 2050
On 17 November 2025, Bangchak Group, represented by Mr. Bundit Hansapaiboon, Acting President, Refinery and Marketing Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, joined as a witness to support the collaboration between the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and eight Thai airlines certified as Air Operators in advancing the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The initiative aimes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the aviation industry and move concretely toward the Net Zero 2050 target. Signatories in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting the Use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) included Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General, CAAT, and senior executives from Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, K-Mile Air, Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X, Thai Lion Air, and Thai Vietjet. The ceremony took place at Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
Mr. Bundit stated, “Bangchak Group is pleased to witness this MOU Signing as the producer of Thailand’s 100% Neat SAF from the country’s first stand-alone SAF production unit, certified under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) standard across the entire supply chain and produced in compliance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D 7566 International aviation fuel standards for commercial flights. Our SAF also supports the CORSIA framework for carbon reduction and offsetting in the aviation sector. We are committed to working with all stakeholders to strengthen Thailand’s competitiveness in the emerging Green Aviation ecosystem and support the development of a robuts, internationally aligned SAF supply chain, moving together toward the Net Zero 2050 goal.
