Bangchak Group Begins Commissioning of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Production Unit With Product Delivery Expected for Q2
On 6 March 2026, His Eminence Somdet Phra Thirayananuni (Somchai Varajayo), Member of the Supreme Sangha Council, Advisor to Chief Abbots of Regions 1–2–3 and 12–13 (Dhammayut), and Abbot of Wat Debsirindrawas Ratchaworawihan, presided over a Buddhist blessing ceremony, accompanied by nine monks, to mark the commencement of Bangchak’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production unit. Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, represented Bangchak Group at the ceremony, together with executives and employees, to mark the auspiciousness ceremony which was held at the Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery.
Thailand’s first 100% Neat SAF production unit, producing from used cooking oil, located at the Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery, has begun testing and commissioning activities with product delivery expected in the second quarter of 2026.
