Bangchak Supports the Royal Project 57 Fair and Presents Thai Community Craftsmanship to Their Majesties at the Opening Ceremony

Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida presided over the opening ceremony of the Royal Project 57 Fair at CentralWorld in Bangkok. Jointly organized by the Royal Project Foundation, Kasetsart University, and Central Pattana Public Company Limited, the fair is being held from August 1–12, 2026 under the theme “The Blooming Legacy of Royal Flora.” General Kampanat Ruddit, Privy Councilor, Chairman of the Royal Project Foundation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Royal Project 57 Fair, along with Privy Councilors, senior government officials, representatives from the public and private sectors, members of the organizing committee, volunteers, Royal Project Foundation personnel, representatives of Royal Initiative Projects, and executives of supporting organizations, were present to receive Their Majesties.

On this occasion, Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bangchak Group and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, was joined by Bangchak executives and employees in receiving Their Majesties as a supporting organization of the Royal Project Fair. Bangchak also presented handcrafted products from Nong Bua Lamphu and Phatthalung provinces to Their Majesties. The initiative reflects the Company's commitment to promoting the value of Thai craftsmanship and creating economic opportunities for local communities, reflecting the company's commitment to innovating in an environmentally and socially sustainable way.

The handcrafted items presented to Their Majesties included Edelweiss-pattern Kaew silk created by artisans from the Nong Bua Lamphu Weaving Academy (Khwanta Learning and Design Center), Nong Bua Lamphu Province. The fabric is woven using the traditional Khit Thor Na Pak technique, creating two distinct sides with a raised pattern on the front and a smooth plain surface on the reverse. Woven from lightweight Kaew silk with excellent breathability and a smooth texture, it is naturally dyed using Chanuan leaves (Ventilago denticulata) and embroidered with an Edelweiss motif, a flower Her Majesty Queen Suthida encouraged the Royal Project Foundation to research, leading to its successful propagation and cultivation at the Inthanon Royal Agricultural Station. Another handcrafted item presented to Their Majesties was a handwoven bulrush bag from the Baan Araya brand, crafted by artisans from the Thale Noi community in Phatthalung Province. The bag transforms traditional local craftsmanship into a contemporary product. Bulrush weaving is a traditional craft passed down through generations, using bulrush, a wetland plant abundant in southern Thailand, to make everyday household items before evolving into a handicraft that provides livelihoods and has become one of the region's distinctive cultural traditions.

In 2026, Bangchak continued its support of the Royal Project 57 Fair for the third consecutive year. In addition to sponsoring the event, the Company provided Bangchak fuel cards to facilitate transportation for farmers and related personnel, supported the transportation of Royal Project products to the exhibition venue, and offered Bangchak Green Miles members 300 complimentary servings of the Royal Project's signature Original Avocado Ice Cream through the Bangchak application.

Bangchak invites the public to visit the Royal Project 57 Fair under the theme “The Blooming Legacy of Royal Flora” to learn about the Royal Project Foundation's achievements through a variety of exhibitions, admire the beauty of highland flowers, and see the Queen Suthida Rose, a newly developed rose variety bestowed with a royal name in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Suthida's fourth-cycle birthday anniversary, on public display for the first time. Visitors can also enjoy cultural performances and shop for products from the Royal Project Foundation, Royal Initiative Projects, and supporting organizations. The fair runs through 12 August at CentralWorld, Bangkok.
