Bangchak Group and Muang Thai Life Assurance CEOs Join Forces on “Fry to Fly & No Refry” Turning Used Cooking Oil into SAF for a Sustainable Society, a Healthier Environment and Better Health

Bangchak Group and Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited have joined forces under the “Fry to Fly & No Refry” initiative to encourage employees, businesses and organisations in Muang Thai Life Assurance’s network to properly store and collect used cooking oil (UCO). The collected oil will be supplied to Bangchak Group as feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production.

On 5 November 2026, Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and Mr. Sara Lamsam, Chief Executive Officer of Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, joined a photo session marking the collaboration at Muang Thai Life Assurance’s headquarters. They were accompanied by Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications; Mrs. Kanthamat Kritayanukul, Executive Vice President, Refinery Business, Refinery and Marketing Business Group, Bangchak Corporation; Mr. Suraporn Petchdee, Managing Director of BSGF Company Limited; and Muang Thai Life Assurance executives; Mrs. Phittraporn Punyaratabandhu, Senior Executive Vice President, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, Mr. Pramote Sakkamjorn, Chief Sustainability Officer, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited and Mr. Paitoon Kraiamorn, Senior Executive Vice President, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited

To facilitate collection, Bangchak Group is supporting the installation of Ucollect Box, an automated used cooking oil purchasing and storage unit operated through an application. Participating businesses and organizations also receive certificates confirming that their UCO is being used to produce SAF.

Bangchak Group employees together with Muang Thai Life Assurance employees also held a “Fry to Fly x No Refry” roadshow to raise awareness among restaurant operators, vendors and consumers about the health risks of repeatedly reusing cooking oil, appropriate oil use and proper management of used oil. Businesses and members of the public at Muang Thai Phatra Market and the Muang Thai Phatra building complex were invited to sell their used cooking oil and shown how to use Ucollect Box.
