Bangchak Joins Traffic-Governance Network

Mr. Prawit Sunthornsittipong, senior director for delivery service and oil depots of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, has attended a signing ceremony for the joint declaration on traffic governance alongside other like-minded organizations. Collaborating with the government, the private and the civil sectors, Bangchak has now joined the declaration to conduct campaigns to reduce road accidents. At present, road accidents have posed a growing problem as it causes both casualties and property damages. Campaigning activities will seriously address the problem by raising public awareness of the issue as well as of road users’ rights and duties so as to uphold the safety and well-being of everyone. Held at Grand Mercure Bangkok Fortune Hotel, the ceremony has been presided jointly by National Legislative Assembly’s vice president Surachai Liengboonlertchai, Don’t Drink Drive Foundation’s chairman Mr. Damrong Puttan, and the foundation’s secretary general Dr. Tairjing Siripanich.

Bangchak has worked with the Don’t Drive Foundation and Daily News newspaper in waging campaigns to reduce risks from oil transportation, to promote road safety, to reduce road accidents, and also to curb road casualties. The campaigns focus on four Don’ts – Don’t Drink Drive, Don’t Exceed Speed Limit, Don’t Jump Red Light, and Don’t Overload.

In addition, Bangchak has striven to ensure that its staff drive or use roads with caution both during work hours and beyond, show responsibility for other road users, and prepare themselves as well as their vehicles properly for their upcoming Songkran travels.
