BFPL Enhances Convenience for Northeast Customers with First Oil Arrival from Bangchak Refinery to TPN Khon Kaen Terminal through Transportation Network

Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL) provides convenient transport between Bangchak Refinery and the oil terminal of Thai Pipeline Network Company Limited (TPN) to support the opening of its new terminal in Khon Kaen with the first oil truck arriving at the terminal as part of the comprehensive network covering the Bangkok – Bang Pa-In pipeline, complemented by road transport network from Bang Pa-In to Khon Kaen, Bang Pai, Khon Kaen province.

At the handover ceremony of the First Oil Arrival to Khon Kaen Terminal, Pativat Tivasasit, Chief Operation Officer, Refinery Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, Bangchak executives, and Nipon Lerttassanee, President, Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL), offered their congratulations to Luechai Soodsakorn, Managing Director, Thai Pipeline Network Company Limited.

Nipon Lerttassanee, President, Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL) stated that BFPL transported oil from Bangchak Refinery to TPN’s Khon Kaen Terminal to support preliminary systems tests which began official operations in September 2022. BFPL’s comprehensive fuel transport network covers the Bangkok – Bang Pa-In Terminal pipeline, totaling 69 kilometers, complemented by the Bang Pa-In Terminal – Khon Kaen Terminal road transport route.

“Khon Kaen Terminal is the newest and largest terminal in the Northeast, situated in the Baan Pai, Khon Kaen Province on about 200 Rai of land, able to collectively store about 157 million liters. The transport of first oil to Khon Kaen Terminal will help to reduce transportation costs for customers in the Northeast, able to better calculate and control delivery times by reducing travel by about 365 kilometers and travel time by 12 hours” Nipon stated.

BFPL received the 20-year rights to the 99 kilometers of the Bangkok – Bang Pa-In Terminal Pipeline (Bangkok – Bang Pa-In 69 kilomteres, and Aviation Fuel Pipeline 30 kilometers) covering the gasoline and diesel transport from Bangchak Refinery to other terminals and Bang Pa-In Terminal, pipelines into Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports, as well as natural gas pipelines to Bangchak Biofuel Company Limited (situated in Bang Pa-In, Ayutthaya province) from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2041.

Nipon added that with a comprehensive transport network following the company’s addition of a fuel pipeline this year, the company is able to offer a variety of one-stop fuel transport alternatives, creating greater cost value for all interested traders. It is able to transport a variety of products including diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel through systematic management, time controls, eliminating problems from traffic congestion and pollution from road transport, reducing fuel utilization, and carbon dioxide emissions, and helps to reduce global warming.”
