Bangchak Joins APCD 60+ Plus Project to Create Opportunities, Equality for the Physically Challenged

Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, head of corporate image and communications at Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, has recently handed over 100 environmentally-friendly aprons and 200 face masks to the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) at the Government House. Apron production uses fiber that is made of discarded plastic bottles under Bangchak’s Conserve, Share and Be Happy project, while face masks are made by communities in Bangchak Refinery’s neighborhood. APCD executive director Piroon Laismit has accepted the items on behalf of his organization. APCD will distribute aprons and face masks among physically-challenged persons who have worked at the 60+ Plus Bakery & Chocolate Café. Operating as a Universal Design Café, it is under the management of APCD. Bangchak has made the move to support job opportunities for the physically challenged and the government policy on the rights of persons with physical handicaps and their social inclusion.
