Bangchak Presents Winnonie E-Bikes for Koh Mak Trial Runs, Promoting Clean Energy Use for Thailand’s First Low Carbon Tourism Destination

Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited presented 2 Winnonie E-bikes to Koh Mak Sub-District Administrative Organization (SAO) for pilot 2-month trial runs on Koh Mak, Trat Province, promoting the use of clean energy, pollution reduction, and economization as one of the many initiatives to develop Koh Mak into Thailand’s first Low Carbon Destination. Lalada Tavedhikul, Deputy Head of the Koh Mak Sub-District Administrative Organization received the presentation, along with personnel and related parties participating in the demonstration of Winnonie operations and charging.

The presentation of Winnonie E-bikes to the Koh Mak SAO and local business for trial runs is part of the ongoing support to develop Koh Mak into Thailand’s first Low Carbon Destination, initiated by The Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), and is the study of greenhouse gas capture and sequestration in the marine ecosystems through Blue Carbon utilizing seagrass towards becoming a low carbon destination, encompassing terrestrial and marine activities, under the goal of enhancing sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
