Bangchak Signs Agreement with JCCP, Embassy of Japan, and COSMO Oil to Improve Operational Efficiency Toward Carbon Neutral 2030 and Net Zero 2050 Targets

Pativat Tivasasit, Chief Operation Officer, Refinery Business Group, Kanthamat Kritayanukul, Acting Executive Vice President, Refinery and Logistics Business, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited and NAOKI TOMOTAKE, Senior General Manager, Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy (JCCP) joined the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Bangchak Corporation and JCCP for the “Technical Collaboration for Operations Improvements in Bangchak Refinery” to improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, as well as reduce carbon emissions from Bangchak Refinery according to the Bangchak Group’s BCP 316 Net plan to accommodate the realization of Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero GHG Emission by 2050.

This collaboration is part of the “Breakthrough Performance” emphasizing process improvement and development to reduce carbon emissions by 30%. Mr. SHOTARO SANO, Commercial Attaché from the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. KAZUYOSHI KANEDA, Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd. were witnesses. This serves to promote collaboration between Bangchak and JCCP to develop sustainable petroleum technologies and energy business, as well as strengthen the relationship between the two organizations. The event was held at Bangchak Refinery, Sukhumvit 64.
