Bangchak Group Partners COOK in Used Oil Exchange Program Encouraging Thais to Turn Waste into Clean Energy on Thai Environment Day

On Thai Environment Day, 4 December 2025, Bangchak Group announced a collaboration with Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Company Limited producer of COOK soybean oil, to launch the “Used Oil for New” program. The initiative sets up collection points at Bangchak service stations across Bangkok and its vicinity, to promote value-driven waste segregation and advance the transformation of waste into benefits for the environment and society.

The official launch was attended by Bangchak Group executives, led by Mr. Vattana Pornpatkul, Executive Vice President, Retail Oil Business, Marketing Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited; Mr. Atit Chinanthanasiri, Executive Vice President, Oil Terminal and Road Logistics Division, Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL); Mr. Preecha Sutthilertaroon, Managing Director, Bangchak Green Net Company Limited; and Mr. Suraporn Petchdee, Managing Director, BSGF Company Limited, together with executives from Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Company Limited, led by Mr. Adul Premprasert, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Petch Wanglee, Managing Director.

The public is invited to join the initiative by exchanging 2.5 kilograms of used cooking oil for either 1 liter of COOK soybean oil (valued at THB 58) or cash. The program runs from 4 December 2025 to 4 March 2026, at 18 participating Bangchak service stations across key areas in Bangkok and its vicinity, namely Vibhavadi Rangsit, Sukhaphiban 1 (2), Charan Sanit Wong, Sukhumvit 101/2, Liab Wari, Srinakarin 1, Phahonyothin Km. 22, Ekamai-Ramindra (5), Satriwitthaya 2, Rama 3 (2), On Nut 17/1, Suwinthawong 2, Wat Kamphaeng, Prachachuen, Khae Rai, Kanchanaphisek Km.41, Thepharak Km. 9, and Srinakarin Si Dan 6.

This collaboration is part of Bangchak Group’s sustainability mission under the “Fry to Fly” initiative to integrate used cooking oil into the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at Bangchak’s Phra Khanong Refinery. The program aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimize oil waste, and promote healthy practices by discouraging refrying cooking oil—supporting both public health and environmental sustainability.
