Bangchak Joins TNCC Forum on Governance and Transparency, Reflecting “Integrity in Practice” Through Real-World Implementation

Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited joined the “Integrity in Practice Forum: Shaping the Future through Responsible Governance,” organized by the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Thailand and foreign chambers of commerce operating in Thailand, to exchange perspectives on corporate governance, transparency, responsible business conduct, and anti-corruption practices in the business sector and society.
The forum was held as part of the 30th anniversary of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, with H.E. Mrs. Astrid Emilie Helle, Ambassador of Norway to Thailand, delivering the opening remarks. Representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia, and governance organizations from Thailand and abroad also participated in panel discussions and workshops on responsible governance and practical integrity frameworks.
Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and Board of Governor of The Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, joined the panel discussion “From Vision to Practice: Transparency Roadmap.” She reflected that ESG and corporate governance are part of Bangchak’s organizational DNA and serve as a compass for everyday decision-making, rather than merely being reporting frameworks or policy requirements.
Gloyta stated that transparency in business operations must be translated into day-to-day practices through clear, accountable, and traceable processes across the organization. She noted that “Integrity in Practice” means looking beyond legal compliance and being prepared to take proactive action whenever ethical concerns or warning signs arise.
She further emphasized that organizational leaders must “walk the talk” and help cultivate an open culture where employees feel encouraged to ask questions, raise concerns, and make decisions based on what is right, rather than simply following rules and procedures. Such principles, she noted, are increasingly important in building trust, attracting investment, strengthening competitiveness, and supporting long-term sustainable growth.
Bangchak has maintained a formal Corporate Governance policy since 2003 and continues to strengthen anti-corruption and governance practices through mechanisms such as blackout periods for securities trading, conflict-of-interest disclosure processes, segregation of duties, cross-functional reviews and approval processes, internal control systems, internal audits, and audit committee oversight.
In its operations, the Company places strong emphasis on transparency and accountability in day-to-day processes, ranging from procurement and approvals to routine business decisions, through measures such as procurement governance, documentation and traceability systems, equal treatment of vendors, and a no-gift policy.
Bangchak also extends governance and ethical practices throughout its value chain through its Supplier Code of Conduct, ESG risk assessments for suppliers, and engagement activities and seminars aimed at strengthening governance awareness among business partners and stakeholders.
In addition, Bangchak has been a member of Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC) since 2013 and continues to promote governance collaboration with suppliers and business partners. Currently, 136 of the Company’s suppliers have received CAC certification, reflecting Bangchak’s commitment to promoting transparency and integrity not only within the organization, but also throughout the broader business value chain and ecosystem through collective efforts to strengthen governance and anti-corruption standards.
