The Thai Flag Above the Podium at Silverstone:
Tern Tasanapol’s Historic F3 Victory

It was a proud moment for Thailand when Tasanapol “Tern” Inthraphuvasak earned global recognition by clinching first place in the FIA Formula 3 Championship 2025 (British Round Sprint Race) at Silverstone Circuit, England. He made history as the first Thai racing driver to stand atop the podium in a competition of this calibre.
A Legendary Circuit, A Historic Win
Silverstone Circuit is legendary – widely recognised as the birthplace of Formula 1 more than 75 years ago. Today, it remains one of the most challenging tracks in the world, with high-speed corners and stringent regulations.
On this iconic podium, Tasanapol “Tern” Inthraphuvasak became the first Thai driver to proudly raise the Thai national flag.
“I felt incredibly proud to see the Thai flag and hear our national anthem on the F3 podium for the first time,” Tern shared. “This circuit is close to where I live while studying in England, so it feels like a second home. Winning here is a great honour. I’m grateful to Bangchak for their continued support.”

Inspiration Through the Generations
Tern’s racing journey began with an inspiration from someone very close - his father and role model, Mr. Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, an AAS Group executive and one of Thailand’s leading circuit racer.
“I grew up around cars because my dad raced in the Thailand Super Series since I was young,” Tern recalled. “I often watched him race and wanted to try it myself.” Starting on go-kart tracks in Thailand, he steadily moved up through competitions in Asia and Europe, entering Formula 4 at just 15 years old before advancing to Formula 3.
Talent May Start the Journey, But Consistency Takes You Further
“For me, consistency is key. No matter how talented you are, without discipline and consistency, you won’t go far,” Tern emphasised. In his most recent race, despite the excitement, he chose to focus inward and not be distracted by external circumstances.
“I didn’t overthink what might happen. I tried to relax and concentrate on doing my best. If something goes wrong, especially on the technical side, it’s beyond my control. But what I can do is maintain my own standards, and good results will follow.”
Tern also shared a message of inspiration:
“No matter how big the goal, if we begin, stay committed, and maintain discipline, we can achieve our dreams. When I started go-karting in Thailand, I never imagined I’d reach Formula 3. I focused on doing my best at every stage. I believe everyone can succeed and stand tall.”

Thai Products and Athletes on the Global Stage
Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, remarked, “I’m delighted to see Tern become the first Thai to win in F3 and raise the Thai flag at Silverstone- a historic venue that hosted the very first Formula 1 race in 1950, where Prince Birabongse Bhanudej Bhanubandh, or Prince Bira, competed. It’s a proud moment for all Thais to see a new generation follow in those footsteps and succeed.”
Mr. Chaiwat also expressed Bangchak’s pride in supporting AAS Motorsport for the third consecutive year and in providing Bangchak Hi Premium 97, a high-quality fuel developed by Thai innovation that meets world-class standards, as the first tank of fuel for high-performance vehicles distributed by AAS Group. “I want both Thais and the international communities to see that collaboration between Thai businesses and athletes can propel Thai products and talents onto the global stage.”
I’m proud to see the Thai flag soar at a world-class racing circuit. Thank you to Bangchak for your continued support and belief in the potential of Thai racers. I’m honoured to play a part in showing that Thai people and Thai products can thrive on the global stage. I hope this victory inspires others to dream big and pursue their goals with passion and perseverance.
