for a Sustainable Future

Bangchak’s iconic “leaf” logo of over 20-years transitions into an eye-catching fresh “new leaf” logo, making many ponder what lies ahead for Bangchak?

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, recalled “The evolution of the corporate logo and identity addresses many criteria at an opportune time. After embarking on sculpting change for some time, today, we have grown from a single product company - retailing fuel through service stations - to one with diverse product lines. From a refining and marketing business, we grew and expanded into green power, bio-based products, natural resources, and new businesses, all of which are growing and simultaneously ready for an accelerated scale-up. Although Bangchak business groups are growing from strength to strength, but at the regional and global level, we are not large and have many voids to fill in terms of growth.”

Chaiwat added “Today, Bangchak has transformed and expanding with a certain degree of stability, maturing from a subsidiary into the “Bangchak Group” with over 65 subsidiaries across 5 business groups in 10 countries around the world.”

Over the years, Bangchak has always placed actions before words and in doing so has accumulated many tangible results. Bangchak once had earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) averaging 10,000 million Baht during 2015 - 2020. But in the first 9 months of 2022, it racked up an EBITDA of 37,773 million Baht - reflecting its strength and stability. This is an opportune moment to mark the transition with our new identity, logo, vision and mission, that are all aligned with the business growth and transformation of the Bangchak Group.

“The New Leaf logo reflects the vision of Bangchak Group of ‘Crafting a Sustainable World with Evolving Greenovation’ that is more succinct while continuing to prioritise the balancing of Energy Security and Energy Transition. While emphasizing scale up of businesses that will fulfil energy security, we also explore new innovations that will foster balance during the energy transition, which cannot be achieved with a flick of a switch. Most importantly, we are crafting various objectives that are aligned with global trends.”

Bangchak Group CEO added that the four colours of the New Leaf logo symbolize the diversity of the Bangchak Group today, not just petroleum products. In addition to automotive fuels, we are energizing lives through bio-based products for health and well-being including prebiotics, probiotics and many others, and integrating them into the modern lifestyle beyond refuelling or buying coffee at service stations.

Symbolically, the new logo not only reaffirms emerging stronger from the COVID-19 crisis but signifies a readiness for growth and expansion in tandem with fostering a balanced sustainability for all - a cornerstone of Bangchak’s fundamental commitment to conduct business in harmony with social and environmental responsibility - that we’ve always adhered to.

Bangchak Group’s New Leaf logo embraces modern minimal aesthetics that retain the “Bangchak” identity by adapting the iconic “leaf” motif of the original logo, and amalgamating with a Möbius loop, signifying continuous mobility, and an Infinity loop, representing everlasting progress, reflecting Bangchak Group’s business operations and strategy.

The New Leaf logo is composed of four main colours representing the vision of “Crafting a Sustainable World with Evolving Greenovation”

  • Green (Evolving) - energy of continuous development.
  • Lime Green (Sustainability) - sustainability for all.
  • Orange (Innovation) - innovation and readiness to create and transform.
  • Grey (Balance) - creating balance between “values” and “profits”.
