Bangchak Group Participates in APEC 2022

Supporting the Media Center by presenting its businesses according to the BCG Economy Model, showcasing the Unique Design service station concept, serving Inthanin, providing Winnonie EV-Bike services, and providing carbon offsets to ensure a Carbon Neutral Media Center.

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, revealed that Bangchak Group is ready to be a part of the of APEC 2022 Thailand as a Communication Partner to continually raise awareness and understanding of Thailand’s role as the host of the meetings, and during the APEC 2022 Thailand meeting between 14-19 November 2022 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Bangchak Group joins to host the Media Center to present Bangchak’s context of the BCG Economy Model, as well as provide Winnonie EV-Bike services within the 22,000 square meter Media Center, and calculating and providing carbon emission offsets to ensure a Carbon Neutral Media Center.

The Bangchak Group exhibition presents it unique identity reflecting its position as the Leader in Energy Transition in accordance with the BCG Economy Model, one of the keys to sustainable business, such as being the leader in bio-based business, piloting Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production from sued cooking oil in Thailand, and taking a part in Climate Action towards the Net Zero target with the BCP 316 NET plan.

Furthermore, the exhibition featured the Unique Design service station concept by modeling the Sukhumvit 62 service station with its Digital Overhead Type dispenser, the Giant of Hoopkapong Bangchak service station welcoming members of the international media, a variety of beverages from Inthanin, the Eco Coffee Brand, and Nuanjai Soft Dried Plums, a premium community product for Bangchak customers, as well as 12 Winnonie EV Bikes providing commuting services within the 22,000 square meter Media Center, a unique convenient experience of pollution-free transport, and alcohol sanitizers sponsored BBGI etc.

Committed to addressing the problem of global warming, Bangchak Group partnered with the low-carbon society partners through the Care the Bear campaign to organized an environmentally-friendly event, optimizing carbon emissions reductions, and going further by evaluating carbon dioxide emissions from the Media Center, collaborating with Yip In Tsoi Company Limited, ROOTCLOUD, and the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) to offset emissions with Thailand Voluntary Emissions Reductions (TVERs) and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from BCPG Public Company Limited via Carbon Markets Club, making the area a truly Carbon Neutral Media Center.
