Bangchak Joins BMA Partner Network to Address PM 2.5 Haze

Bangchak supports Bangkok and its partner network to address urban haze issue at the launch of “Action Day PM 2.5 BKK”, part of Earth Month activities to reduce PM 2.5 dust participles, presided over by Chadchart Sittipunt, Bangkok Governor, at Benchakitti Park.

Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication, and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, joined Action Day PM 2.5 BKK organized by the Department of Environment, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, along with members of the Earth Hour partner network from the public and private sectors, cooperating to address the problem of the PM 2.5 dust participles.

Bangchak organizes activities and campaigns to reduce PM 2.5 in numerous dimensions, including Operations such as flexible office hours and encouraging employees to use public transportation, raising awareness and giving advice about proper response to PM 2.5, allowing employees to Work From Home (WFH) due to haze (allergies etc.), establishing employee Car Pooling, providing EV Bus for commute between the Head Office at M Tower and Bangchak Refinery, and integrating EV Cars for the corporate fleet. For Business and Products, the company has offered Euro 5 standard diesel, for the 4th consecutive year, promoting the use of Winnonie electric motorbikes, an E-motorbike rental platform with battery charging and swapping services, and installing EV Charging Stations for EVs at Bangchak service stations, while in the Environmental and Social Responsibility dimension, Bangchak has continuously increased green spaces and capture dust by planting trees with surrounding communities, and supporting various agencies combating forest fires, etc.
