Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited joined the Declaration of Intent ceremony between the public and private sectors to collect hazardous waste from the community at the Pollution Control Department, with Pinsak Suraswadi, Director General, Pollution Control Department, and executives from more than 50 public and private organizations to raise awareness of health and environmental impacts of improper disposal of four types of hazardous waste; namely lightbulbs, batteries, chemical containers, and electronic wastes due to the presence of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury, that risk leakage and contamination into the environment if not properly handled. Communities are encouraged to segregate hazardous from generic waste at designating community collection points in Bangkok and 76 provinces across the country, which is then processed or recycled by local government organizations.

Bangchak has designated hazardous waste collection points at Bangchak’s head office at M Tower, Bangchak Refinery, and 10 Bangchak service stations in Bangkok Metropolitan RegionArea to encourage segregation of hazardous from generic waste for proper disposal.
