Bangchak Group Holds BFPL Merit Making Ceremony to Kickoff Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Business

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Bangchak Group, leads Bangchak Group executives and employees, including BFPL executives and employees, to hold a merit making ceremony to mark the founding of Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL) at BFPL Head Office at the Bang Pa-In Oil Terminal, Phra Nakorn Sri Ayutthaya Province.

Bangchak Group invested THB 1,600 million to expand into fuel pipeline and logistics business, to enhance its business security and sustainability with its high growth potential and ability to provide fuel pipeline transportation, as well as reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions from conventional road transport by approximately 10,000 tons CO2e annually.

BFPL is a fully owned subisidiary of Bangchak operating and managing the 99KM fuel pipeline and logistics network supporting the transportation of gasoline and diesel from Bangchak Refinery, other fuel terminals, and Bang Pa-In Fuel Terminal, fuel pipeline for Aviation Fuel to Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airports, as well as transport natural gas to Bangchak Biofuel Company Limited, Bang Pa-In.

This is an integral investment to create sustainability through green innovation and a diverse portfolio towards low carbon businesses in order to achieve it target of Net Zero Emissions by 2050, by first achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030.

Chaiwat wlecomed BFPL executives and employees to the Bangchak family, and stated the critical importance the company for Bangchak’s sustainable growth, and reiterated the centrality of safety as an integral part of fuel-related business operations, reminding everyone to follow protocol, never to take shortcuts, to ensure that “everyone can go home safely everyday” which has been a concept the Bangchak family has always upheld and practice.
