Bangchak Group with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Environmental Partners Plant Trees to Kickoff “Punsook Urban Greenery” Campaign

Chatree Wattanakajorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangchak Metropolitan Administration, along with Chaiwat Kovavisarach, President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Bangchak Group, and executives from Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, Bangchak Metropolitan Administration, Phra Khanong District Office, community members, and Poonsin School executives and students, planted 3,290 trees such as Cassia, Magnolia, Yellow Star, and Yellow Elder etc. to kick-off the “Punsook Urban Greenery” campaign to commemorate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Dowager, and Mother’s Day in Thailand, to sustainably enhance green spaces, reduce dust, absorb carbon dioxide, and improve urban scenery at the garden in front of Poonsin School, Sukhumvit 64, allocated by the Expressway Authority of Thailand.

Chaiwat Kovavisarach stated that Bangchak Group has consistently committed itself to sustainable innovative business development in harmony with the environment and society, and increase efforts to achieve ecological balance and transition towards a low-carbon society through natural carbon sequestration, which remains key strategic objective in achieving Net Zero by 2050 by first achieving Carbon Neutrality in 2030. The Punsook Urban Greenery campaign is another collaboration that Bangchak Group initiated with other sectors to reflect the determination to increase green spaces to create a sustainable world for future generations.
